An ERP decision outlives most of the people who make it. This guide exists to make that decision easier to defend: each system described from its own published material, each claim linked to a dated source, and each profile clear about who should choose something else.

Who it is for

Owners, plant managers, controllers, operations directors and IT leads at manufacturers that run Epicor today, most often Kinetic, and are deciding whether to move to Epicor's cloud, change ERP, or change the work around the ERP they have. We assume readers know their own production far better than we do.

How it is made

Profiles are written from each vendor's own pages, announcements and public documentation, with reference sources for basic company facts. Every comparison uses the same published criteria, set out on the methodology page. Where a vendor's site could not be read, we say so on the profile rather than fill the gap from memory.

The main guide is reviewed at least once a quarter, and whenever Epicor or a reviewed vendor changes something material, such as a support date or a published price. Each page shows its last update and a short log of changes.

Independence

This guide is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Epicor Software Corporation or any other vendor it reviews. Product names are used only to identify the products being compared, and no vendor logos are used.

Corrections

If a fact is wrong or out of date, tell us with the page and the source. Verified corrections are made promptly and recorded in the page's change log.
