NetSuite is Oracle's cloud ERP, which Oracle acquired in 20161. NetSuite says more than 44,000 customers rely on it2. For an Epicor manufacturer whose priority is finance across several entities, it is the finance-led option in this guide.

Best for: Multi-entity manufacturers whose priority is finance, consolidation and one cloud suite, with assemblies and routings rather than detailed shop-floor control.

Not the right fit for: Job shops that need detailed scheduling and shop-floor control in the core product, or an on-premises option.

What it offers a manufacturer leaving Epicor

NetSuite's help centre documents assemblies, assembly work orders, advanced bills of material, BOM member control, work in process, manufacturing routing against work centres, outsourced manufacturing and engineering change orders3. Deeper shop-floor functions come through two SuiteApps: Advanced Manufacturing, which extends routing into a workbench, and Manufacturing Mobile, which lets operators report shop-floor data from scanners.

In October 2026 NetSuite announced six industry SuiteAgents. The Product SuiteAgent, available now in NetSuite Next, evaluates inventory exposure and supply changes; none of the six is described as manufacturing-specific2.

Published evidence

We found no named manufacturing results in the sources we could read. NetSuite's product and pricing pages refused our automated requests on the day we checked.

Strengths and limits

Strengths

  • A single cloud suite with finance at its centre, which suits groups with several entities.
  • Manufacturing functions are documented in a public help centre, so buyers can check them before a demo.
  • The Product SuiteAgent, announced in October 2026, evaluates inventory exposure and supply changes.

Limits

  • Shop-floor workbench and scanner functions require separate SuiteApps.
  • None of the industry agents announced in October 2026 is described as manufacturing-specific.
  • We could not find a published price list; NetSuite’s pricing page refused our automated request.
  • Runs only as a cloud service.

Choose another option if: Production complexity, not finance, is the reason you are leaving Epicor. Acumatica or Infor CloudSuite Industrial carry more manufacturing depth in the core product.

Pricing

Questions to ask NetSuite

  • Which of our production processes need the Advanced Manufacturing or Manufacturing Mobile SuiteApps?
  • What is the five-year cost for our entities, users and SuiteApps?
  • How would our Epicor routings and work centres map to NetSuite routing?
  • Which manufacturers of our size moved from Epicor, and can we speak to one?

The comparison table in the main guide sets NetSuite against the other seven options.
